If you are seeking assistance with a passport issue, please be aware that due to an unprecedented number of requests, the U.S. Passport Agency has extended processing times for all passport applications.
Most in-person appointments are being reserved for those traveling for a death in the family or to visit hospitalized or terminally ill relatives. However, the Passport Agency is granting a very limited number of appointments for those who are traveling within three days of their request.
When requesting assistance from the Office of Congressman Rush, please:
- Go to travel.state.gov to get the latest updates on Passport Agency operations.
- Complete a Congressional authorization form at Help with a Federal Agency.
- Contact my office at least five days before your expected date of travelif you are requesting an appointment with the Chicago Passport Agency.
If you have questions, contact the staff in my District Office at (773) 779-2400.
