Rush Announces 2018 Service Academy Nominees

WASHINGTON — Today, U.S. Representative Bobby L. Rush (D-Ill.) announced the selection of 12 young men and women from the 1st District of Illinois to receive nominations to America's top service academies.
 
“It is an honor and a privilege to nominate a group of tremendously qualified individuals to our nation’s esteemed service academies,” said Rush.  “I’m inspired by these young men and women for their commitment to service, not only to their communities but to our nation.  I applaud their intelligence, tenacity, and leadership and I am confident that these individuals will become the future leaders of our country.  Thank you all for your commitment to serving our nation.”
